le Tour…

The Tour de France started today (in rain, in the Netherlands…) and as with the last several years, you can get the whole route as an interactive Google Earth overlay. The Google Earth blog has a link to two different KML files you can download which give you a choice of everything or merely a simple route to the race. Since this race takes place in July, I guess it doesn’t fit into a school curriculum very well, but for me this is still one of the big events of the year (I’ve been a follower for nearly forty years!).

as you can see, this is a big deal to many, especially when le Tour reaches the Alps or the Pyrenees!
