Hiroshima and Detroit

HiroshimaI ran across an amazing web site the other day…it was a photo comparison of Hiroshima and Detroit…then and now. I am not interested in presenting some political perspective on this comparison, just that it is to ironically dramatic.

The fact that the atomic bombing of Hiroshima was the end of WWII, and that arguments could be made that the focus of US industrial might during the war centered on Detroit. Now Hiroshima looks like a city form the future, and Detroit looks a lot closer to Beirut…
