blogging, part I (posting)

If you have been following my posts this week, and have a nascent blog already set up, the only thing left would be to write some posts… This is a good time to consider a very important accessory, that of an offline editor for your writing. I have had some small problems when I first started blogging where th3e slowness of the connection made trying to write and upload a post (all in one long operation…) quite problematic. I do have a solution though…I started using Windows Live Writer.

This free program is a simple way for you to write blog posts even when you are not online. Of course, you can still use the WordPress post editor (on your dashboard under posts…); I often use a mixture of both… So with this preface, I have a few more videos which cover the mechanics of writing posts, whether on WordPress.com or with Windows Live Writer:

Writing a Post on your WordPress.com Blog:

WordPress Productivity with Live Writer:

How to Install and Set-up Windows Live Writer – WordPressVideos.TV:

Now, with a blog set up, and some basic knowledge of how to get to, and how to use the dashboard, and of how to use Windows Live Writer you can start to write a few posts. This doesn’t completely over all of the details involved in blogging, but it is a start. I will have a few final additions next…
